4.8: Welcome home!

Hey there! Welcome to the name game challenge~

Aaaaand this is what welcomed me back to my save… this and a little heart attack… I really thought I had lost my Name Game family!

I had to try so many different things to get my family back because we’re almost on generation 5 already, I’m not letting them go just like that! And I ended up discovering that it was specifically their lot on Live mode that I couldn’t access. I could access the lot in build mode, and the family if I moved them out…I’m gonna take this as my game telling me it’s tired of our previous house lol thanks game.

As a funfact, after even more experimenting I believe I found the specific thing that broke my game to be saving while the money-making trashcan was in use. I’m not 100% sure, but when I entered the house in build mode the trashcan had a red light instead of green and I couldn’t erase it or move it unless I moved out the family and send all their stuff to the family inventory lol. It was weird.

But I mean, I was already planning moving the family to Sulani for next generation so we could work on the beach collections, so what’s a couple weeks earlier? lol Time to spend 3 days straight building a house, as usual lol.

I’m not really gonna complain though, because as usual, I am in love with Sulani ❤ it trully is the prettiest world we have gotten. Henford and Bagley is a close second to me tho.

Anyways…

After literally staying up until 5AM two days in a row (I lose track of time while building lol it’s bad) we got them this brand new house! It’s big, it’s full of random stuff, and honestly, it’s my current building pride and joy lol I think I made a pretty decent job with it, specially using no floorplans! 

Also, I’m kinda glad we moved because it gave me the chance to make a build that incorporates the growing together objects! I ended up building the kids a water park out in the garden and I really love how it came out!

My first order of business after decorating all the exterior was to make sure it was all usable lol well, it is! I’m SO happy! The kids can use the playground equipment and also Xzavi can relax in our thermal pool~ also yeah, I gave them a thermal bath lol I felt it made sense because they live in the volcano island, and it’s an extra woohoo spot for the future lol I like the options.

I also finally went ahead and built the family a greenhouse to keep better track of the plants I have/I’m missing. I finally have a potato planted! Lol. It gave me the chance to check the EL tiered planters, they definitely save you a lot of space!

Here we have our main room in the ground floor, a fairly open kitchen/living room/dinning room/playing area/miscelaneous room lol . As usual, it has lots of free space for when se have parties or winterfest decorations around, and while it doesn’t make the most sense while living in a tropical island, we have fireplace in the dinning area lol I just liked how it looked.

Also, as you can see we went back to the blue color scheme lol the yellow and red was cute, but I made sense to me to use blue since Xzavi was ‘in charge’ of the decoration this time lol. Those two doors that appear in the playing area picture go to the toddler bedroom, and the main bedroom. As usual, I like to keep both of those in the main floor.

Xzavi and Ellen’s bedroom now houses our cool posters collection. Honestly still one of my favorites. Their room is a little smaller than it was in the last house, but Still I can only dream about a room like that lol and they have a tiny nursery attatched on the left side of the room so next generation babies/infants have a place to sleep. Let’s hope we don’t have a lot of multiples lol this room is small.

The toddler bedroom is, as usual, one of my favorite rooms in the whole house lol I just love making colorful rooms for the little ones filled with toys and decorated walls. I normally don’t use the puzzle carpet, but here I feel like it really ties the place up. Since all the kids are already grown up right now I think it’s gonna take a while before this room gets some real use, but I’m just very happy with it ❤

Both rooms have doors to a little deck with some extra toddler play stuff, and also Ellen’s gym equipment. I’ll need to decorate that part of the house a little more later, but I had already decorated all the other outside nooks of the house, and I was tired lol.

Speaking of those other nooks of the house, I also added here a pic of the entryway, that now houses a firepit and some other party/game stuff lol I decided that since my sims always socialize in the entrance, I may as well make it more comfy lol.

Moving on and up~

This the upstairs landing. Just in front of the stairs we have a second set of stairs to the attic, and there to the left a small ‘game corner’. I like to think kids can come up here and play videogames together after school.

On the other side of the room we have a games table, chess set and also a mural space. I love decorating houses with murals so we’re gonna try it!

This floor also houses our three other bedrooms; two for the kids, and one for, eventually, the grandparents. I mostly reused all the furniture from the last house, so the grandparents bedroom still looks like it was for Skye and Louis lol but maybe once the next heir takes over I’ll remake it for Xzavi and Ellen.

The kids rooms are very basic too, I just upgraded the beds, placed some future murals too, and gave them computers, but most of the time I think the kids are gonna be having fun in other places, so it’s okey lol.

And then we go through the door that’s just in front of the stairs to find this little laundry niche, and a second set of stairs that takes us to the third floor: the attic maussoleum. It’s pretty much the same as it was in the last house, we even have the vault up here and everything, I like it.

Also at first my plan was to just use a ladder to access this part of the house and save space downstairs, until I remembered that we have ghost doggies and they can’t use ladders lol I just couldn’t bring myself to leave Jellybean trapped up here.

And to finish off, here are a couple pictures of the collections that didn’t manage to sneak into the rest of the photos lol I enjoy looking for places to put my collections! Also, if you look at our Easter eggs collection, we finally have both rare eggs! I have no idea when did we get the last one that was missing lol but I guess I can finally count that point! I do hope we can get the plaque in the mail after moving houses tho, somehow I only have 2 plaques from all the collections I have completed because I always forget to collect the mail lol.

But anyways, +1! And with all that out of the way, I think the only thing left to do is to hit play~ let’s see what adventures we can have with the Svartulvs today~

Xzavi was sent to plant a couple things that we didn’t already have in the greenhouse. I gotta say I really love the greenhouse btw ❤ I think it came out really pretty.

And then he introduced himself to our newest friend: a little hámster named Clay, after the animal crossing character that was my first ever hamster in that game, and it’s adorable lol.

Hey Ellen! Do you have something to tell me?

Ellen: “Hey! Yeah, you did a good job with the house. It is strange to come home to a totally different world tho.”

I mean, thanks. And yeah I can imagine, but I wasn’t talking about that.

Ellen: “Oh? Then what are we talking about?”

I’m talking about this moodlet! Where did it came from?!

Ellen: “Oh? I’m pregnant already? I would’ve thought it would take a little more time!”

And you’re telling me!

Honestly I’m not sure why I am even surprised lol this is literally how they are aaaaaaall the time! They really can’t keep their hands to themselves lol. I guess we’re having an extra baby… Again!

I was gonna send Ellen to take a pregnancy test already, but then I got distracted with our ghosts for the night- It’s nice to know that they made the move alright and are ready to explore the new house.

Somehow Salem lost her clothes during the moving tho lol I wasn’t expecting that.

As you can see, the ghosts really enjoyed the new house lol that’s gonna be a lot of work for Xzavi to repair tomorrow.

Also no idea about the girl in a bathing suit lol you know, sims~

But anyways, at least the ghosts didn’t break the toilet, so Ellen took her prengnancy test, and gave Xzavi the news before bed. I love how he’s just as surprised as I am about this lol! Again, I guess it was a matter of time with these two.

Next morning before school I sent Zu to cook breakfast to start working on the skill in case she becomes heiress, and she immediatly decides that she likes it! That’s nice, it usually takes my sims like 8 levels to decide they like something lol.

And then I finally decided to follow the girls to school that day to get them lockers and stuff, but accidentally clicked only Zu lol My bad, I guess we’ll have to come back with Feng tomorrow.

It was even more of a shame because it turns out that one of our t-posers for today was Chelsea lol. I still think this is funny.

We also saw cousin Zion at school! I wonder why only him and not Zinnia too lol but still, it was cool. We did the usual stuff with Zu for the day, inclusing having her decorate her locker in a preppy style, I love it!

I also made Zu introduce herself to a bunch of people to see if she liked someone, but nope so far! She’s still very young tho, she’ll find someone in time.

Back in the house, Vaughn still needs a best friend for the Social butterfly aspiration, so we invited this cute girl home after classes. I feel really bad that I can’t remember her name tho! I’ll remember to look it up next time I play.

Specially because she did become Vaughn’s best friend a little later! And also, Vaughn decided to be a bear for a couple days lol I still love this phase.

Inside, Iggy is making friends too. He’s working on befriending our little Clay ❤ I gotta say Clay is a little more snappy than Aries over in my Baby boom household lol almost everytime someone tries to play with Clay, he ends up bitting them. It’s kinda funny.

Just a cute little pic of Aggy and Iggy hanging out with that at the dinner table ❤ there’s just something I love about sims hanging out like this, it gives me a very homey feeling.

…We’ve been living in this house for less than three days! How is it dirty already?!

I guess that’s what I get for using the same furniture from the old house lol.

Look! Khal came to visit us! He and Keisha live in Sulani too, along with Ophelia’s family. in case it isn’t obvious how much I love this world lol.

While the other kids were hanging out with Khal, Agatha was upstairs completing her aspiration! She has been a very productive child so far! Also, that’s a +5 because she’s the first one to complete this one!

I believe I gave her Whis kid next, but I’m not sure if she’s gonna complete it, we’re getting pretty close to her birthday.

Anyways, next day we finally took Feng to high school so she could claim her locker and meet with Chelsea, and guess what? Chelsea was the sim the game decided to take off the school in Feng’s place lol I feel trolled!

So the only romance that happened at school today was between these two lol apparently, Tai Lum and his wife Rita both work at the school, I found it funny lol.

Also, we got this notification and two things: 1. of course we have this NAP right in the household I just built a water park for! Now I gotta turn off all of my sprinklers *annoyed sigh*

2. why are they fining the teen? lol shouldn’t this be directed to any of her parents intead?

Well, whatever lol we’ll take care of that when I go back to the house.

For now, Zu keeps introducing herself to all the cute boys we see around, but she still has no crushes! Both of these ones would make great future spouses tho, it’s kind of a shame lol.

After classes Feng works on a little promposal sign to invite Chelsea to the next one. I think it’s fair because Chelsea invited her last time!

And then, we discover this!

Zu wanted to hang out with her now teenage best friend Noel, and just like with Feng, it was just one interaction when I got the pop up! Maybe that’s why she wasn’t interested on anybody at school? lol.

And I mean, Noel has some amazing expresions already lol that’s a big yes for me when it comes to future spouses!

I’m not super sold on the mohawk tho lol.

I had Xzavi start working on one of our murals upstairs. These things take a long time to complete, so better start them early lol.

Clay brought us a rodent postal! That’s one of the reasons I decided to buy us a hamster lol we’re gonna need those for the postcards collection.

Look, it’s the Jokesters dynamic of the update lol! I still believe you can’t go one update without getting this one. I love that it’s between Iggy and Aggy too, because I love how their nicknames match lol.

Zu went ahead and invited Noel to prom, and also started flirting with her a little ❤ I love them together already.

Oh, look! Aggy maxed another skill! That’s +1 for us! I almost forgot I’m supposed to count points in this challenge lol.

Just a random picture to show Ellen’s newest baby bump ❤ I think she looks adorable while pregnant.

Javon, on the other side, it’s no cute at all! Breaking our dollhouse for no reason! *shakes head* and he’s supposed to be our Good sim too! lol.

At this point I realized that I hadn’t recieved Aggy’s birthday notification and I was sure that it was very close. Turns out I was right on that, her age bar was already bubbling and everything lol so I woked her up so she could blow her candles already, you guys know I get impatient about that.

Here we have her after her teen makeover! She’s an interesting mix, as she is now a Creative Bro who wants to have a Nerd brain lol. I wasn’t super sure of what style to give her, so I went with a kinda sporty artistic type, hence the dyed hair and the cool sleeve tattoo.

Honestly, I love her… she may be my favorite of the gen so far… but I love all of them so much!

Also, she gets extra points because she literally grew up with this want lol Jonas is the redhaired kid I had initially thought to be a future spouse for Vaughn, but I guess I chose the wrong sibling lol I like a girl who knows what she wants!

That’s gonna have to wait a little since it’s the middle of the night tho, but we locked the want for later.

Next morning Feng invited Chelsea over before school to present her with her promposal sign, it was cute ❤ and Chelsea love it and said yes!

I sent the girls to school on their own today and instead stayed home with the adults because Xzavi is gonna have a gig a little later. For now, he and Ellen worked together to finish our first mural! I think it came out cute, goes great with the rest of the decor.

Anyways, as said before Xzavi had a gig that day, and I wasn’t gonna document it because I feel it may get tiring for y’all lol but then I found out that one of our co-stars is actually Fetu, Ophelia’s new husband! I wasn’t expecting that, but it’s great!

Also, this was finally the time Xzavi got asked for a selfie lol the career doesn’t want to be ignored, sorry Acting career, you know I love you!

But anyways, Xzavi completed her gig and we went back home~

Where I called Jonas! I was very curious how he looked now that he grew up and he’s cute! suuuuuper skinny tho lol but still, I like him.

I gotta add that I didn’t tell Agatha to invite him to prom! She did this on her own! Girl really seems to like him!

There’s no crush popup between them, but just look at Aggy’s face! She definitely looks smitten lol.

You can count that if I have a kid doing homework, Ellen is gonna be around helping them with it lol I love how good of a mom she is.

Xzavi is a good dad too, but he has heirship duties to tend to. Like upgrading our dryer so it doesn’t burn the house down lol. Important duties.

I usually just leave the bear phase go on its own, but since Ellen is doing the Superparent aspiration, we experimented with the parenting side of phases. I was very cute to see Ellen as a mama bear for her little cub ❤

And then it was hilarious when she went into labor while still wearing the costume lol! Just look at that empty stare!

I think this is the moment Xzavi gave Clay an ambrosia trait lol I prefer to make my little pets immortal, that way I can really get attatched to them.

Saddly that last picture distracted me enough for Ellen to get into bed, and so we lost the chance to see her give birth in a bear suit lol booooo! Still, looks like it’s time to give some use to the nursery with the birth of our extra baby: Erick!

As usual, Erick was named using the first letter in Ellen’s name, since we already finished Xzavi’s name. He will not count for points for us, but still, we love him ❤

See? Xzavi immediatly went to meet him after Ellen went back to bed. I love this picture, it’s very cute ❤

Is this another “sims hanging out around the dinner table” picture? Yes, yes it is lol also, look at that gap in Vaughn’s teeth! He recently lost his first one lol.

Oh hey! Apparently Vaughn wasn’t friends with Ingulf before this, so befriending him counted for his aspiration and he got it done! Yay! That’s +2 for us!

I went to school with the girls again so Aggy can get her locker, and apparently is thunderstorming in Copperdale lol Feng was the only smart girl to carry her umbrella, a girl after my own heart!

Also I just wanted to get a pic of Aggy’s outfit, it’s my favorite of hers ❤ Also, I realized that I gave a very similar style to another girl in another challenge lol but I’ll let you find out who once I get the other update out. I just really loved that Snowy escape hair.

Hey, looks like Feng got a second crush! That’s cool, Uriel is actually very good looking too, if I wasn’t so in love with Chelsea as her girlfriend already lol. Still, I like options.

Apparently it was career day today, so the girls spend the day going around the audithorium talking to people. I don’t have that many complains about the follow to school feature, but I gotta say, this was actually really boring lol at least we could have more career options to check? or maybe it could not last the whole day? lol.

A good thing came from this day tho: Vaughn got his first A! That’s another +1~

Xzavi rarely cooks since he has a chef wife, but it didn’t feel right to make her cook this, so Xzavi stepped up:

It was her birthday cake! She is now officially an adult, and I think it’s funny how she used to be older than Xzavi lol I would turn of the no-aging during pregnancy, but I need it for my baby challenges and I would totally forget to turn it back on for those challenges.

Ellen went ahead and enjoyed a piece of her cake afterwards lol Good for her, she deserves it.

Also, Xifeng just became captain of the cheer squad! I still love her cheerleader uniform ❤ she looks so cute.

More jokesters lol! I love that Iggy is getting that dynamic with all his siblings.

Also, seeing Feng come back with a promotion made me remember to get Aggy an after school activity. I wasn’t sure what to choose for her, but ended up going for the Chess team since she needs to play chess for her aspiration. She’s gonna be a very cool nerd ❤ *insert the Nerdy prudes must die soundtrack here*

Seriously Aggy would make an amazing Stephanie Lauter!

She apparently decided to celebrate her new spot in the chess team by being abducted by aliens lol. I guess she will like it since she’s a Nerd brain sim.

Also, as usual aliens take sims that can’t get pregnant, but to be fair, this household is almost always full anyways lol.

Inside Xzavi was completing the mobile upgrade for Erick’s crib, I’ve found out it really helps with getting dificult infants to sleep better.

And apparently he completed it just in time, because we just got the notification~

I kinda don’t feel like dealing with an infant so quick tho… so anyone against me stalling for a couple more hours? lol.

Erick is gonna be in very good company until then anyways. I sent Feng to read a book to start working on her aspiration and she decided to do it sitting on the rocking chair ❤ she’s a great sister.

Xzavi, meanwhile, was out collecting signs to repell the Water conservation NAP. I’m all for water conservation IRL, but it’s the sims, and again, it’s the one family I decided to give a water park too! I want to enjoy my water park lol!

Also, that second pic is to say that Kyle was hanging around the beach with the NPC label of “litterbug” lol I may be a little predisposed to not like Kyle just because his name is Kyle Kyleson… but I wasn’t surprised lol.

I’m still getting used to having to study for the girls exams, so our results for this week were varied lol I kinda love Zu getting the best of the three, I guess Feng was more focused on cheering routines.

And after taking care of all those little things, it was finally time for Erick to grow up, and as usual, he’s a cutie ❤ I love that he got Ellen’s hair and eyes, it’s a shame that he can’t be heir!

I’m gonna wait a little to give him a makeover, but it’s not like infants need one for starters, they are always adorable ❤

Even when he’s crying because he doesn’t like tummy time lol seriously does any infant actually like this?

Agatha was working on her chess for the team, and when I went to check on her this dude was sitting in front of her chatting. We don’t know this man and don’t know where he came from, one of those things that would be super creepy in any other context lol.

Ingulf is working on his first aspiration; Rambunctious scamp. I had him start learning to ride a bike because he’s gonna work on Mind&Body afterwards, better plan ahead lol.

And Feng is trying her hand at painting because if she’s chose heiress she will need to get level 8 in five skills for her aspiration, so let’s start early for a change lol.

This picture may not prove it too good, but Erick apparently hates wake up time lol. I guess it’s difficult to be trully angry/sad when you have a mom as good as Ellen ❤ I just love her.

Damn, the ghosts are really going for the dollhouse this playsession! I gotta say Skye coming up to talk to Knox and him reacting that way afterwards made me laugh lol Maybe she told her son that breaking the dollhouse is not ok?

That afternoon we were celebrating the Summer BBQ holiday~ traditions include festive spirit, grilling food, drinking and having water fun, so it was the perfect time for the kids to use the water park~

Thankfully, Xzavi was able to collect the needed signatures to repeal the water NAP. Ellen made us the honor to be the last one we needed ❤ now the kids can enjoy the sprinklers in peace.

I was gonna say that I was not sure about Iggy practicing with the bike on the backyard deck, but then I remembered that we live in an island and everything else is sand, so maybe this is actually the best place to do it lol.

But anyways, Ingulf just maxed the Motor skill and completed his first aspiration! +2~

He immediatly decided to go inside and play with his little brother ❤ he’s so adorable~ The wolf ears cap just makes him even more adorable.

Also, I just noticed I forgot to buy a science table for the family after moving so I went and got one lol. It’s not gonna be here forever, but I need to complete another one of the murals upstairs so I can use that space lol. Work for future Salem!

Because right-now-Salem is busy taking her girls to prom!

I gotta say this prom was a litle lamer than the last one. We started by learning that apparently Chelsea grew into a young adult in the past few days, so Feng ended up with no date. Then the whole thing got a little bugged and some of the actions wouldn’t check off the list, so it ended up being a bronze level. And also, there was another thunderstorm in Copperdale lol.

On the good side tho, I had all the girls vote Noel for prom royalty and she won! And I gotta say she looks very different without her mohawk lol I’m deciding if it’s growing on me, or if I prefer her without it. We’ll see.

For some reason tonight all my sims wanted to do the sweethearts dance outside… during the thunderstorm lol Let me assure you: there were some lightning strikes around.

Also, the Principal and one of the teachers kept fighting eachother lol like seriously, they would fight, then stand there looking at eachother, then fight again! They did it like 4 times in a row, and I’m still wondering what the hell happened in between them lol. Also, this seams very inappropiate for two faculty members during a school dance, I kinda love it.

Oh, and remember what i said about the lightning strikes? All the time I was worrying the lightning was gonna hit Zu or Noel because they kept going outside to dance, but nope, it ended up striking Agatha and I don’t even know why she went outside lol! It was pretty epic at least.

Prom ended, and we skipped the afterparty again because I had just gotten the last notification I was waiting for today:

It’s Vaughn’s birthday!

Honestly, this took me by surprise, I feel like Vaughn has been a child for such a short time! But alas, I guess it’s time to meet our next teen for the generation:

And here we have him all grown up! He has a lot of style with that pointy hair lol. He grew up very cute honestly, has a lot of Xzavi in him ❤ He’s also now Cheerful like his mom, and surprised me by getting the Werewolf initiate aspiration lol He’s currently a spellcaster so if he wants to complete that, I guess it’s time I find out how you “cure” a spellcaster? That will be another job for future Salem!

For now, This is where we’re gonna stop with the update! We had a lot of fun and I’m really loving living in this new house, I hope you come to love it too! Next chapter we should be having Erick turn into a toddler, maybe even a child? And probably Ingulf joining the rest of out heirship candidates as a teen and start thinking about next generation, so that’s exciting!

First of all I had to show this picture of Rupert’s kids Uriel and Rowan because I just love how they ended up adopting literally six dogs lol! That’s just my perfect type of family! Keep living the dream boys!

Khal and Keisha’s second kid, Henry, is now a child! He’s very cool looking!

And this is his little sister Alexis. Precious as all infants are ❤

Over at Ozbej’s house, his daughter Blossom joined the twins as a teenager!

While Erin, the youngest of that bunch, is now a child. i really like her! Oz and Jaleesa make very cute kids!

Finally, our baby brother Astro is now a dad too! This is his little Adam as a toddler ❤
